It was a morning. My mother took me to a school. We entered the headmaster’s room. He gave me some chocolates. There was a tall boy in the room. Take this new girl to the first standard, said the headmaster. My mother left me in the first standard.
I looked around. There were many children. A boy was playing with a toy car. Another one was writing something on his slate. A fat boy was eating biscuits. Two boys were rolling on the floor. Two girls fighting for a water bottle. One girl began to cry aloud. Seeing that, I also started crying. I wanted to see my mother. She was not there. I cried louder still.
The teacher came. She gave us chocolates. Everyone stopped crying. The bell rang. All the children ran out. I saw my mother at the door. I jumped for joy.
